The tradition of Seder Tawhid stretches back to our forefathers in Egypt. This Seder was one of learning, where the reading of the Sacrifice of Passover from the parashat hahodesh hazeh lachem (this month is for you). It took place the night of Rosh Hodesh Nissan. Upon this basic reading, mizmorim were added, with great singing and joy. People were gathered to rejoice together to celebrate the Torah and those who devote their lives towards its study.
The specific reasons behind this special evening are as follows:
The Great Exodus of Egypt:
On Rosh Chodesh, beni Yisrael heard the nes that they were going to be redeemed on the night of the 15th, later in that very month. We hold this evening to remember the miracles and the hesed that Hashem does for His nation.
"In Nisan we were redeemed in the past, and in Nisan we are destined to be redeemed again."
We hold this evening to put everyone in the correct spiritual mindset- to realize with all their might that this could be the month of the Geulah.
And indeed, every year in Ahaba the Seder Tawhid is a special time for all. Please join us this year. We look forward to celebrating with you...
